Beach activities
The beaches at Kenton-On-Sea have been voted as the best in the country. They offer a choice of beautiful secluded coves, long expanses of sand, unspoilt dunes, and easy swimming in the lagoons and the sea.
Swimming, surfing, body boarding, sand boarding, kite surfing, fishing, snorkelling, collecting shells, or just strolling on the beach are all activities that are part of a day in Kenton.
Boats are available for hire for cruising up the two tidal rivers that form the borders of Kenton Village – the Bushmans and Kariega rivers. These rivers also offer superb fishing, sailing, water skiing, wake boarding, tubing, and windsurfing.
The Eastern Cape activities
The Eastern Cape has it all!! Situated mid-way between Port Elizabeth and East London, Kenton-On-Sea is within easy access of the magnificent Greater Addo Elephant National Park www.greateraddo.com and several other private game reserves including the world renowned Shamwari game reserves and Kariega Park. Here you can enjoy a unique wildlife experience in a Malaria free environment. These Malaria free alternatives for the Kruger National Park all offer the “Big 5 (Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard) and more recently Adda now includes a marine section with Whales and Sharks. The abundant bird life is a bird watcher’s paradise. Horse riding trails meander through indigenous Milkwood forests. The area is steeped in history and there are many surrounding towns like Grahamstown, Alexandria, Bathurst and Salem which are rich in historical and cultural value.
Kenton is the ideal base from which to explore the surrounding country side. For the golf enthusiasts nearby Port Alfred offers one of four Royal Golf Courses. See www.rpagc.co.za Tennis, squash, gym and bowls are available in the village.
Shops and Amenities

Climate
The Eastern Cape boasts a temperate sub-tropical climate with average daily maximum temperatures of between 20 and 25 Celsius through out the year.
Winters are mild and summers are pleasant with humidity greatly reduced thanks to the costal breeze.
